About
North Durham Volleyball Club was established for the 2018 season because we wanted to provide a lower cost club experience for local volleyball athletes. While our goal is to provide a club experience with lower club fees, we want to provide a highly competitive atmosphere for each athlete as well.
We want to be a smaller club, but despite being small we want to be effective in providing a different approach to club volleyball that is oriented in not stressing families financially, but yet providing a huge team atmosphere that is an extension of the family.
North Durham Volleyball Club is directly affiliated with the Junior Olympic Volleyball Program, the national youth division of USA Volleyball (USAV). USAV is the governing body of sport volleyball in the United States and is recognized as such by both the Federation International de Volleyball (FIDV) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). From beginner-level volleyball competition through Olympic competition, it is USAV who establishes and upholds the rules and regulations of the sport.
Our program supports and enhances the volleyball programs available in local schools, instilling values of team play, individual discipline, and work habits which will serve junior volleyball players well both on and off the court.
Our goal is to provide a competitive atmosphere that also builds core team values, a hard work ethic, character, and many other things in the midst of volleyball competition.
